Ali and Sam gear up for Plymouth Half-Marathon

Ali and Sam are both Medical Secretaries at Livewell Southwest and they’re currently in training for the upcoming Plymouth Half Marathon after completing the Couch to 5K running training app.

They said that the Couch to 5K app is a new challenge for them but one that was not only benefitting their wellbeing, but was pushing them out of their comfort zone.

Ali and Sam have been running three times a week as part of their training for the half-marathon, which will take place on Sunday, 5 September.

Ali added: โ€œMy advice to other amateur runners or people wanting to take up running would be to start slowly and build up.ย  The Couch to 5K is a good way to start and also perhaps consider joining a running group as that can be good motivation.”
