One You Plymouth is part of Livewell Southwest offering support and advice to people who are looking to take the first steps to a healthier lifestyle. Slowly growing over the years we now have a team of over 30 people, from admin staff to help book your appointment to practitioners who can offer you the ongoing support and advice that you need to develop a healthier lifestyle, offering advice and support around being Smoke Free, Eating Well, Healthier Lifestyles, Moving More and Drinking Less.
We have appointments for you to attend all across Plymouth running 6 days a week including Saturdays and evening appointments on Wednesdays so we should be able to find an appointment at a time to suit your needs.
Last year we helped support over 1000 Plymouth residents to take the first steps to living a healthier lifestyle and offered them ongoing support to maintain those changes.
Our staff come from a variety of backgrounds to enable us to offer you the best support which is tailored to your needs.

This Time We Meet…
My name is Lydia Helyer, I am an Advanced Health Improvement Practitioner within the Wellbeing team at Livewell South West, and a qualified occupational therapist.
At the moment my time is split 50/50 between providing stop smoking support and vaccinating at Derriford hospital. I am passionate about all areas of health improvement and trauma informed practice; I have a professional background in substance misuse and (as a new Mum myself) I am particularly keen to support expectant Mothers. I do my best to “practice what I preach” and I am currently using the “Active 10” app to increase my activity levels during lockdown and Cheezifit pilates (over Zoom) are the highlight of my week.
I am proud to be part of the vaccination roll-out that has drastically reduced COVID-19 rates in Plymouth. It has been great to see so many people coming through the doors. We do our best to make the vaccination centres as accessible as possible with a lift, a translator service, and screens for privacy. The system has been significantly streamlined so we no longer have the very long queues either. Needless to say, I have had both of my jabs!
