Healthy Christmas Recipes
Skimp on calories, not the Christmas spirit!
As Christmas fast approaches, sticking to a healthy eating plan can prove challenging.
Most of us tend to dine a little more richly during the Christmas season: Cosy family dinners, Christmas sugar cookies, mince pies with cream and the like, it can seem like temptation lurks around every corner.
It’s fine to indulge on occasion, especially when it comes to your favourite dishes that only make an appearance once a year. But that doesn’t mean you have to totally blow your healthy eating plan this festive season.
Check out our new alternative healthy recipes to traditional festive favourites that taste delicious but are far better for you.

Grief and Bereavement Workshop
Did you know we still have spaces on our upcoming course dates? This workshop aim to help you understand some of the processes involved with grief, seek to dispel some of the misunderstandings surrounding communicating with the bereaved and will describe some of the ways to sensitively approach conversations to establish trust.
Previous attendees have described the course as “A really useful opportunity to gain more insight and reflect on grief and bereavement, as well as practical ways to offer support” and “Whilst a challenging topic, it need to be discussed! Good pointers taken away to support those difficult conversations” so why not book your place today?
With things having been so different and hard over the last year or so, there is perhaps no more significant time to learn some potentially life saving skills. If someone was giving you “invitations” to talk to them about their thoughts of suicide, would you know what to do and how to help them? If not, then SafeTALK is the perfect course for you.
SafeTALK is a half-day alertness training that prepares anyone over the age of 16, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper and know how to safely have conversations around suicide.
The Livewell Southwest Academy have courses running throughout 2021 with the first one being held on Tuesday 12th January 2021.
