We had a great response to the launch of our ‘Recipes’ page on the One You Plymouth website back in the summer so we’ve added a new section just for Christmas!

Christmas can be a time for excess and indulgence and this is often followed by a bloated feeling and regrets. We have created a number of indulgent recipes that when eaten in moderation over the festive period shouldn’t leave you feeling the effects and will allow you to enjoy every minute of the festive period.

6 Top Tips to Avoid a Hangover

 
With Christmas approaching fast and the inevitable Christmas parties becoming more regular, a hangover the next morning will often follow!

There’s no real cure for hangovers, but luckily there are a few simple things you can do to avoid them and feel a whole lot better in the morning.

Follow these tips to avoid hangover symptoms like headaches, sickness, dizziness and dehydration. Do all 6 if you can – the more you do, the better you’ll feel.

1. Eat before you drink
2. Make it a smaller one
3. Set your own pace
4. Have a lower-strength drink
5. Space your drinks
6. Re-hydrate

 


New Eat Well Course Dates

If you do feel like you might over indulge over the Christmas period and would like support to a healthier start in the new year why not sign up now for one of our new Eat Well courses, starting in the new year.

By signing up now and seeing one of our advisers before Christmas we’ll be able to offer you 1-2-1 support and advice to help you get a head start and put you in a positive mind-set over the winter months. You’ll then be raring to go once the courses start in January. The two new dates we have start on:

Wednesday 15th January 2020, The Cumberland Centre, Plymouth, PL1 4JZ from 18:00-19:30

and

Thursday 16th January 2020, Derriford Health and Wellbeing Centre, Plymouth, PL6 8DH from 17:00-18:30
